I started my photographic journey when at the age of eight I received my first camera, a Kodak Instamatic. While I do not recall my first photography experience, I do know that at an early age I was very visual and fascinated with the magic of capturing images. My passion blossomed when for my twelfth birthday I received my first real SLR camera, a Canon AE-1.

While I was in middle school and high school, you could always find me with a camera. In high school, I took a photography course and joined the camera club which gave me exposure to the wet darkroom and other photographers. I then decided to pursue a Visual Arts Degree at Miami Dade College. During my last year of college, I was invited to display two images at the annual fine art exhibition. Upon completion of the exhibition, the Art Department Director approached me about adding one of my images to the schools personal collection and I of course agreed. While pursuing my personal studies on photography, I completed my degree at Miami Dade College in Visual Arts.  After college, I focused on my personal work as well as some journalistic work that resulted in images being published in The Miami Herald. Then life and family responsibilities limited my time behind the camera.

In the summer of 2015, I renewed my passion for the art of photography and purchased a Nikon D750 and a software editing platform so that I could apply my knowledge base to the digital darkroom. While I loved working in the wet darkroom the digital darkroom gives me an incredible amount of control over the medium. Since my renewed interest in photography, I have entered several local and state competitions where I received top awards. I started branding myself while showing and selling my images at Juried Art Shows around Connecticut as well as on my website.
